The Microtech LUDT has made a comeback and it's better than ever! There are some notable changes to this automatic knife, starting with the revised blade profile. It now has a notched thumb ramp and a smooth crowned spine. The new-school Tri-Angle hardware and recessed pivot assembly add a nice touch, and there's even a hole for lanyard attachment. The handle features milled grooves and is made from tapered 6061-T6 aluminum, giving it a throwback style reminiscent of early-2000 era models. The LUDT is known for its "affordable excellence," combining precision manufacturing, premium materials, and a timeless design. This particular Zombietech model has a green anodized handle with red blood splattering, while the blade and hardware have a Stonewashed finish. Over 20 years ago, Anthony Marfione introduced the U.D.T., a compact automatic folder that became an instant hit. The Large UDT, or LUDT, followed shortly after and has been popular among knife enthusiasts ever since.
